From a spiritual point of view, the ego is everything that spirit is not. The ego is of this world, and because of that, it only seeks out that which is material. It is attracted to form, thoughts, movement and emotion. Feeding off of reaction, the ego is the established consciousness of this planet and has been for thousands of years. Entrenched as human consciousness, the thinking mind has convinced generation after generation that its level of consciousness is all there is.
Coming into this world, we are told that we are human beings; but this is not an entirely accurate description. It’s misleading actually, to be honest. Identity, and awareness is everything when it comes to self-realization and the expansion of consciousness. And in this reality, spiritual beings have been conditioned to believe that we’re human first, both indirectly and directly. We’ve been indirectly conditioned by those we’ve trusted; those who have meant well towards us, those that love us like our teachers, parents, and religious leaders. Is it possible they’ve all missed something? We’ve also been directly conditioned to believe that we’re fragile, even vulnerable by media and advertising, for example; that we need to look outside of ourselves rather than look within for solutions or soul-utions.
In other words, this world and the system that is in place is set-up to encourage outward reliance while keeping the masses distracted enough so that they never realize who they are and the greatness that is within. As individual souls coming into this experience, we are conditioned to think based in the concepts of past and future which is then reflected in the collective egoic consciousness as a whole. But even beyond that, we are taught that Source Energy is outside of us, in heaven watching down on us.
Now that we’ve had a look at how this planet has been functioning for countless generations, let’s begin the spiritual task of unravelling the one main fallacy that is the foundation for ego consciousness: that Source Energy and you are separate from each other. Having the temporary experience of being human doesn’t for one moment change the fact that you are an eternal, powerful spiritual being. It’s been only because of ego identification and identification as a physical body that spiritual beings pretending to be human have relinquished their power through forgetfulness. But thankfully, no amount of spiritual amnesia could alter what is eternal, and unchangeable.
Shifting beyond the thinking mind into the quietness of stillness, the remembrance of who you are beyond thought emotion and the physical body begins to return. One begins to recall the limitless nature of Source remembering that Source is separate from nothing but rather becomes what Source creates-in real time. Anchoring oneself in the present moment, thoughts begin to slow down, creating space between your authentic, silent self and the egoic mind. Taking a step back, one can begin to see the ego for what it is; the darkness to one’s inner light. Moving deeper into the vastness of consciousness through the doorway of the now, the individual soul merges into The All That Is and the ego dissolves entirely and what remains is pure awareness or point zero; intelligence beyond thinking. Now, the ego is not even remembered as darkness but as an illusion; the shadow self that was necessary to create the desire to remember or re-join the highest self.
This is the generation that has been given the task to undo the collective ego consciousness by making the conscious return back to point zero, back to Source individually. As one soul remembers, a way is made for others to follow, as all minds are joined-one in Source Energy. Rest assured that one is not without help, assistance and spiritual guidance. All that is required is desire and a willingness to make the conscious return inward into the Self. A shift in awareness, from the thinking mind to inner stillness, from form (thoughts) to formlessness (point zero); this is the next evolutionary step for humanity.
The Dark Tunnel To New Earth
What is taking place on our planet right now can be looked at from a human perspective or a spiritual perspective. If we look only at the surface, it will seem that the world has been thrown into chaos, governments have turned their back to their citizens and that the human beings on this planet are more divided than ever. Looking only at the superficial however, of any situation or circumstance, gives us only a small amount of information. It doesn’t give us the whole picture. From a 5D awareness, from a quantum field perspective, those playing the dark roles of villains, the ones in between, and the light warriors are all assisting in ushering in a new earth, a new age. One must remember, that appearances aren’t always what they seem; there is much more at play in the unseen realm.
Humanity, from a spiritual perspective, had moved too far off track, getting caught up in the matrix of this world, the 3D world of materialism, away from the individual’s soul purpose. In other words, there was too much imbalance towards 3D reality. As powerful spiritual beings having a human experience, we need outside circumstances to change to create the desire to change from within. The egoic matrix that blankets this planet is so convincing, so alluring that it’s come to the point that alarm bells are needed to awaken us, a planetary spiritual crisis to be exact.
We are at a crossroads; we have a choice. We can continue to play in 3D reality and continue to experience more and more wake up calls, prolonging our own ascension process or having had our fill of the 3D matrix, awaken to our spiritual nature and realize that we are powerful, creative beings who call forth our reality through our point of view, our thoughts, our words and intentions and beliefs. The first choice ultimately only prolongs the dark tunnel to the inevitable; humanity will be transcended as spiritual beings remember who they really are. In other words, it’s not humanity that’s awakening, but our conscious minds to the fact that we are first and foremost spiritual beings.
Coming into this realm, we forget our oneness with each other and with Source and that’s by design. Through spiritual forgetfulness we get to experience the temporary journey of being human. The purpose in this is this: if you awoke already with the conscious awareness of the Kingdom, of already being in the Kingdom, how would you really know this? It’s the experience of being what you’re not that allows one to realize who they truly are. Contrast gives us perspective, it gives us through direct experience the human, 3D experience as well as the potential spiritual, 5D and beyond experience.
What is life calling us to do, to become? Life is calling us to grow into our true nature, our spirituality. The egoic mind, the thinking mind which is rooted in fear and separation has run its course and has become on a collective level, to put it plainly, a monster. Fear has now blanketed the planet, allowing even more uncertainty and confusion. What the collective needs now is clarity, to understand that what’s taking place is a spiritual evolution, a revolution, an awakening the likes of which this planet has never seen before.
Self-responsibility is what we’re growing into. It’s the realization that we are the cause and our experiences, our circumstances are the effects. A shift is possible now, to each individual who desires to exit the 3D matrix of past, future and all the attachments that come with it to 5D consciousness, ascension, through the now moment where one is free of fear and the associating energies that accompany it. The potential within each of us is unimaginable; imagine what could be made possible when a critical mass is reached, millions of awakened souls coming into the light of consciousness.
A new earth, a new reality is already here. It’s the vibrational frequency of inner stillness and it’s within and without. We now have an opportunity to usher in a world of peace, harmony, where all things can be possible. The potential is there; it’s always been within us. We just have to awaken to it, become aware of the reality of oneness, and the miracles that flow from that state of being.
Twenty-Five Questions Every Spiritual Seeker Should Ask
Life has a way of responding when we begin to ask the deeper, the bigger questions. It’s by inquiring within, asking the Self, the “hows” and “whys” that opens the door to answers. Some answers may arrive right away and others, on their own timing. It seems the universe knows when we’re ready to receive what we’ve asked for. Asking questions are important because they challenge the status quo; shifting our awareness out of 3D into 4D consciousness.
Here are twenty-five questions that could be posed to the highest self. Not everyone is going to resonate with every question just yet, and that’s very much ok. The goal here is to begin to inquire, to stir up curiosity and open the channel to understanding.
- Is there more to life than what I’m seeing on the surface?
- How would spirit within define success?
- What would I choose to have, be or do if I knew there were no limits?
- What is the point in meditation?
- Is there a difference between religion and spirituality?
- How is a life of peace achieved?
- What is the purpose of life?
- Is life just a bunch of random events or is there synchronicity to everything?
- What would the experience of heaven on earth be like?
- Why do we experience emotional pain?
- What are the secrets to happiness?
- Where did we come from and where do we go after this experience on earth?
- Is there more to our minds than we currently know?
- What is enlightenment and how could it change my life?
- Are we more physical or energy beings?
- How does one tune into creativity and inspiration?
- Am I spiritually guided?
- How does the law of attraction really work?
- Are there any limits to our healing potential?
- What is the quantum field?
- How can I be of service to others?
- Can forgiveness help me release the past?
- What are the secrets to fulfilment?
- Is it possible to have an awareness of Source Energy?
- Why do people say “the present moment is a gift?”
These questions are a good starting point but you may find that as you begin to inquire within, more questions may follow. There are no limits to consciousness or to what we can become aware of. Change, inner change, begins when we start to question “what is” and look to what is possible. As spiritual beings it’s our natural inclination to want to grow and expand in consciousness.
When we seek to understand, to look deeper into the hidden mechanics of life, what we are actually looking for is clarity. We have the desire to know how to make our lives work, so that we’re not struggling but thriving. If you’ve found this article it’s because life is wanting to speak with you. Life wants us to be active participants because we and life are one. Source Energy is life in essence.
Some final food for thought: consider it like a bonus question, one that has the potential to reveal to us the power that comes with self-responsibility. Here it is: if I were to continue to do the same thing, operate from the same frequency, think the same as I always have, where would that lead me? Where would I be in five, ten or twenty years from now? This is a deep question that calls for some deep reflection. Through contemplation, this line of thinking can lead to profound insights, if we’re but open to listen and willing to make shifts in our lives.
Ego & Soul: Knowing The Differences
In this reality, as spiritual beings, as a soul, we take on an ego, and through that process forget who we are in essence. Everything designed in this world is fabricated to keep us distracted, to keep us from going within and remembering who we really are. Through this spiritual amnesia, we identify with the thinking mind, the egoic mind. But just because something has been forgotten does not mean that it’s lost forever; one cannot lose what one is in essence.
Through the dream spell of the ego, and its blanket of emotions that veils our true self, we tend to lose sight, lose the clarity of who we are while being human. This article is going to focus on clarifying the differences between the two; between who we think we are and who we really are. By understanding the nature of the two, we can come into greater clarity and discern and navigate through this experience we call life with greater confidence and awareness.
The egoic mind is a temporary experience while here on earth while the soul, our authentic self is eternal in nature. The ego is what we as humans identify with; the soul is what we are. The ego has no true power and survives only through our belief in it while our soul exists regardless of our awareness of it or not; the soul is power in and of itself. The ego is the automatic thinker, the soul is the silent self. As the thinker in our minds, the ego projects and labels. The soul on the other hand, observes; it’s the silent witness within. The ego believes in separation because it is separation in essence; it believes that it’s separate from everyone else, from Source and from life itself. The soul is an extension of Source and because of that is rooted in oneness. The soul is connected with all of life; everything within it.
By nature, the ego is negative; from a spiritual perspective it’s not good or bad, it just is what it is. It serves a divine purpose in its negativity as a catalyst for soul-realization. The soul by nature is unconditional love; it is transcendent-beyond what would be considered as positive. Operating between the past and future, the ego survives through mind constructs, through reaction. Found in the present moment, the soul is remembered through the only moment there is; the eternal moment of now.
The ego offers every shade of emotion while the soul is the source for every spiritual faculty. The ego is the source of fear itself and every negative emotion that is projected from that space of awareness. The soul being unconditional love, extends gifts to you such as wisdom, clarity, understanding and discernment. The conditioned mind offers lower frequencies through the past and future such as sadness and worry as the soul offers joy and inner peace.
The awareness and understanding of the nature of the ego and the soul reveals that there is much more to us than just the thinking mind. The truth is, the egoic mind, the thinker, was never meant to be the one and only consciousness that we experience while here on earth. It was always meant to be as mentioned earlier, a catalyst. The soul offers relief from the slings and arrows of the ego. It offers strength and clarity to be able to alchemize the darkness of the ego through the light of its consciousness. Enlightenment is a deep understanding; of who we are and what we’re not. It is the realization that we’re eternal spiritual beings having a temporary experience with a consciousness of this world.
